KHCBS agrees purchase terms for the Kings Head!

We are delighted to confirm that following several months of negotiations, our bid for the Kings Head and Old Stables Brewery has been accepted! By a show of hands at a public meeting held at East Hoathly Village Hall on 10/09/25, attendees expressed their overwhelming support for proceeding on that basis and a Heads of Terms agreement outlining the key features of the deal has now been signed by both parties. We have also appointed legal representation to conduct due diligence and oversee the transaction to completion. This is a fantastic result for everyone in the village and surrounding area, as we can now proceed with bringing the pub under community ownership and securing its future for the benefit of local people. We anticipate launching our Community Shares Offer to raise funds to help finance the purchase during October 2025.
